Firm Overview:
IOG Resources is a Dallas, Texas-based investment firm that directly invests in non-operated oil and gas assets. IOG Resources was founded in partnership with energy private equity firm First Reserve in 2017. This position will be in the Dallas office with flexibility to work from home when necessary.
Description:
This role will support accounting and finance functions associated with new and existing investments, including the following responsibilities:
- Oversee 3rd party accounting administrators’ preparation of monthly financial statements
- Ensure proper accounting and record keeping of monthly JIBs, revenue statements, LOS statements, investment terms, and corporate agreements
- Track monthly financial activity to manage liquidity
- Perform budget versus actual analysis for investments
- Manage treasury function and debt compliance reporting
- Work closely with engineering and investment staff to provide relevant and timely accounting information for preparation of reserve reports and deal underwriting
- Drive the further development of internal processes to streamline and enhance operations
Qualifications:
- At least 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in upstream oil and gas
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in accounting) with strong academic track record
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA), preferred
- High proficiency in Excel and technology/automation oriented
- Ability to think independently and provide sound and practical solutions to problems
- Positive attitude and the excitement and willingness to tackle any project
- Highly organized and strong attention to detail
- Must be able to work on multiple tasks and work well within a team
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities
