Mr. Woolley is Chief Executive Officer and a Director of IOG Resources. He joined IOG at inception in 2014 as the 4th Managing Director and partner and was named Chief Executive Officer in 2023. Since inception, he has helped scale the platform across four fund vehicles, deploying $1.8 billion across 33 investments spanning multiple basins, commodities, and risk profiles. Mr. Woolley serves on the boards of IOG Resources Holdings I, II, and III, and on the Texas A&M Petroleum Engineering Industry Advisory Board.
Prior to IOG, Mr. Woolley was a Vice President at Energy Trust Partners and Energy Spectrum Advisors, covering upstream private equity and A&D advisory. Before that, he spent five years as a Reserves Engineer at Netherland, Sewell & Associates, Inc. Mr. Woolley began his career as a Reservoir Engineer at BP in Houston and Anchorage, Alaska.
Mr. Woolley earned a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University. He is a Professional Engineer registered in the State of Texas and a 25-year member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
Mr. Edwards is Executive Vice President of Business Development at IOG Resources. He joined IOG at inception in 2014 as Vice President, later serving as a Managing Director of the firm before being named Executive Vice President in 2023. Since inception, he has helped scale the platform across four fund vehicles, deploying $1.8 billion across 33 investments spanning multiple basins, commodities, and risk profiles. Throughout his tenure, Mr. Edwards has played a broad role in the firm’s investment activity, transaction execution, and growth, with an increasing focus on origination and business development. He now leads IOG’s sourcing, outreach, and external growth efforts across the platform.
Prior to IOG, he spent four years in the Corporate Finance group at EXCO Resources, Inc. and focused on capital markets, acquisitions and divestitures, hedging, and investor relations. He began his career as a CPA in KPMG’s audit practice.
Mr. Edwards earned a B.B.A. in Accounting and an M.S. in Accounting from Southern Methodist University.
Mr. Heath is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of IOG Resources. He joined the firm in 2016 and has led the finance function throughout his tenure, including as CFO and Managing Director of the firm before being named EVP and CFO in 2023. Since joining, he has helped scale the platform across four fund vehicles, deploying $1.8 billion across 33 investments spanning multiple basins, commodities, and risk profiles. Mr. Heath oversees operations, accounting and finance, risk management, land, legal, and leads deal structuring and execution across the platform.
Prior to IOG, Mr. Heath was Controller and the senior financial officer of a Kayne Anderson private equity portfolio company that he joined at formation. Before that, he spent five years at Ernst & Young in its audit and transaction advisory practices.
Mr. Heath earned a B.B.A. and a Master of Accountancy from Baylor University. He is a Certified Public Accountant registered in the State of Texas.
Mr. Bennett previously served as President & CEO, and prior to that, as CFO, of SandRidge Energy. Prior to joining SandRidge, he served as a Partner at White Deer Energy and a Managing Director at GSO Capital Partners (now known as Blackstone Credit), and held a variety of other operational and financial roles across the energy industry (including as CFO at Aquilex, a former First Reserve portfolio company).
Mr. Bennett currently serves as a Director for Kimmeridge Texas Gas, LLC and Director for Kimray Inc., with prior experience as a Director for Cheniere Energy, Crown Eagle Energy LP, PostRock Energy, SandRidge, Tapstone Energy, and Tellurian Inc., among others.
Mr. Mueller previously served as President, CEO and Chairman of the Board at Southwestern Energy. Before Southwestern, he spent decades in various roles at several E&P companies including CDX Gas, Houston Exploration Company, Belco Oil & Gas and others.
Additionally, Mr. Mueller joined the First Reserve Senior Advisor Program in 2016. He currently serves as a Director for United Production Partners and as a member of the Finance Committee at Memorial Hermann.
Mr. Krueger currently serves as Chairman and Managing Partner of First Reserve, which he joined in 1999. Mr. Krueger is responsible for the overall management of First Reserve and sits on its Investment Committees, which are responsible for the supervision of the firm’s investment program and strategy.
Prior to joining First Reserve, Mr. Krueger worked in the Energy group of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.
Mr. Steen currently serves as a Managing Director at First Reserve, which he joined in 2011. Mr. Steen’s responsibilities include investment origination and structuring, due diligence, execution and monitoring of investments across the energy value chain.
Prior to joining First Reserve, Mr. Steen worked in the Investment Banking Division of Credit Suisse.
Mr. Wizel currently serves as a Managing Partner at First Reserve, which he joined in 2007. Mr. Wizel is a member of the First Reserve Private Equity Investment Committee, and his responsibilities include investment origination, execution and exit of investments across the energy value chain.
Prior to joining First Reserve, Mr. Wizel was a member of the Investment Staff at Greenbriar Equity Group, and prior to that he worked at Credit Suisse First Boston.

Ms. Baumann currently serves on the board of Devon Energy Corporation, where she served as board chair (2023-2024), as well as on the boards of National Fuel Gas Company and Putnam Mutual Funds, where she chairs the independent Board of Trustees. She is President of Cross Creek Energy Corporation, an energy advisory firm she founded in 2003, and serves as a senior advisor for First Reserve Corporation.
Previously, Ms. Baumann spent 18 years at Amoco (later BP Amoco), where she held key leadership roles, including Chief Financial Officer of Ecova Corporation, Amoco’s environmental remediation business, and Vice President of the San Juan Basin business unit.
Mr. Krueger currently serves as Chairman and Managing Partner of First Reserve, which he joined in 1999. Mr. Krueger is responsible for the overall management of First Reserve and sits on its Investment Committees, which are responsible for the supervision of the firm’s investment program and strategy.
